Megali Paralia beach
Lindos has 3 beaches; Megali Paralia Beach, Pallas Beach and St Paul’s Bay. Megali Paralia is a stunning beach with soft smooth sand and clear waters, ideal for a paddle or a swim to cool down. The water is very clean and blue and gets deeper on a shallow gradient which is good for kids. There is a wide selection of beach bars and restaurants for refreshments scattered along the waterfront. Watersports are also available which is much fun for all ages. The views both from the sea and from the beach over Lindos village nestled into the hillside and the Acropolis in the back are just fabulous.
This beach is very popular and gets very busy and if you miss out on a lounger there isn’t really room to lay a towel down and relax. Access is easy and if you are fortunate enough you can park right by the beach. You also have the choice to travel by boat from Rhodes Town (one hour) or by bus (one and a half hours). From the bus stop on the main road, it is a fairly steep walk down to the beach. Megali Paralia Beach is just the best place to chill and without a doubt one of the best beaches on the island of Rhodes. Well worth a visit.
