Ladiko beach
An absolutely gorgeous beach set in a great bay with clear blue water and nice cliff surroundings. It is actually the same bay as Anthony Quinn just the opposite side of it. The area is quiet, calm and relaxing. This is great spot with perfectly still water, beautiful views, great angle to enter the water, perfect for kids and older people, easily accessible by car, bike and on foot, is well signposted, easy to find and has a parking at the top of the hill. The best thing about this beach is that you can access two beaches close to each other. One has a bar with fabulous views while having refreshing drinks or meal while the other has better snorkelling or diving opportunities. Both are developed to high standard - have nice bars, plenty of beds, showers and clean toilets and are among the best in Rhodes. Entrance into water is slightly difficult due to small pebbles/shingle but once in, it's fantastic.
The beach is mainly shingle and stones rather than sand, so sea shoes are worth remembering and the sea shelves gently for a while before dropping off quite deeply, but kids love playing in the shallows. It does get extremely busy and you will have to arrive super early in the morning to get a sun lounger. Most likely if you arrive after 11am there is no chance of finding even a space to put a towel. Altogether, a lovely beach to spend the day at if you can get there in time to find a bed. You can go on foot from Faliraki – 5km or so – or you can take the bus. If you go by bus and want to go back by it, check times because last bus from beach leaves pretty early. Anthony Quinn bay is a 2-minute walk over the hill and is equally as beautiful.
