Elli beach

Μετάφραση Greek Version

Elli beach

Elli is the main beach in town, located at the south end, between Mandraki and the Rhodes Aquarium. It is one of the most popular and cosmopolitan beaches of Rhodes that still retains something of its cosmopolitan aspect from the 70's. The English writer Lawrence Durelle described it as the finest beach in the Mediterranean. It attracts many photographers, trying to capture the colors and the perfect Rhodes beach panorama. Swimming in its crystal clear and usually calm waters is a must if you are in Rhodes town.

Ιt has everything you need to spend a perfect day under the sun - colorful umbrellas, sunbeds, beach bar, a large choice of water sports, tavernas and restaurants. There is even a diving platform at a short distance from the shore, for those who love diving. It is one of the most organized beaches on the island and extends along the city. It forms a sandy ridge facing the Asia Minor Coast and it is within a walking distance from the center of Rhodes. In the background there are beautiful buildings of the Italian era such as the hotel of Roses housing the Casino of Rhodes and the Rhodes Aquarium.
