Agios Georgios of Dysalona

Agios Georgios of Dysalona is a stunning beach, that lies in a well-protected cove on the east side of the island, between Pedi and Marathounta. It is the most impressive beach of Symi due to the towering cliffs, located just behind it. The initial view of the beach takes your breath away. The 300-meter cliffs create an incredible scenery and offer natural shade after noon. The beach is mostly pebbly with crystal-clear blue waters.

It owes its name to the small chapel of Agios Georgios which is built on the edge of the rock. Agios Georgios is not accessible by land and the only way to get there is by your own boat or using the taxi-boat service which leave Symi harbour. There are no amenities, so you need to take all your food, drink and sun protection with you.

If you’re looking for a secluded natural beach and a place to escape normal life for a few hours, this may be the answer. Agios Georgios is a definite gem that you shouldn't miss.
