Agios Vassilios beach
The beach of Agios Vassilios or Lapathos is one of the most beautiful beaches of the island. It is located in a large and deep cove surrounded by high, rocky mountains with sparse wild cypresses. It is an isolated, pebble beach with crystal clear blue waters. Above the beach there are some trees that offer natural shade. There are two ways to get there: either by sea taxi or following a path that leads to the beach. The hike lasts about 2 hours and the last part needs attention as it is a bit rough and steep. If you decide to walk, you are advised to wear sneakers or hiking boots. The beach is not organized with umbrellas and sunbeds so it is good to have enough water and all the necessary supplies with you. The fact that is isolated and quiet, makes the beach ideal for nudism.
