Lefkathia beach

Between the port of Limnion and the beach of Lemnos, 2 km from the village of Volissos, is one of the most beloved beaches of the island, "Lefkathia". It is a beautiful closed bay that opens up among the small hills of the area. Among the locals there are two versions for the name of the beach: One is that it got its name thanks to the whitish limes that grow between the sand (White Flowers). The other that took its name from the ancient temple of Goddess Lefkotheas that existed here. Whatever the truth, the bay continues to enchant anyone who swims in its clear waters.
