Vroulidia beach
Vroulidia is on the southern point of Chios, 9 km from the medieval village of Pyrgi and 33 km from the city of Chios. It is located next to the beach of Emporio and is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island with unspoilt natural beauty. It is a secluded, relatively small beach with sand and very small pebbles. The turquoise waters along with the steep, white rocks that surround the beach create an exotic landscape.
Vroulidia is not an organized beach. Though, above the beach there is a canteen where you can get water, coffee or some snacks. It is easy to reach the beach and there is parking lot next to the canteen. From there a paved path and a few steps will lead you down to the beach. Vroulidia is usually a quiet place not gathering so many people. This sometimes changes on weekends. In Vroulidia you can hardly find natural shade as there are only a couple of tamarisk trees.
