Salagona beach
Salagona is an isolated beach, located on the southwestern part of Chios Island, just five kilometers away from the village of Olympi. A beautiful pebbled beach almost 150 meters long with turquoise waters and a small pond on the coast that adds to the setting. The water is clear and refreshing with lots of sea life to see. You won’t find any facilities such as sun loungers and umbrellas but you may find a canteen with all the basics during peak season. The beach is not serviced by public transport; therefore, you will need a car or moto to get there. The road is not paved, but it is in good condition and driving down to the beach is easy. The road starts approximately one kilometer after the village of Olympi, driving towards Mesta. Salagona beach offers peace and is ideal for those seeking scenic and secluded beaches.
