Zanakounda beach
Zanakounda is located to the northeastern part of the island a few km far from the settlement Parparia. It shares characteristics similar to the other beaches of the area like the beach Kaloulime on the south. It is isolated and remote with no tourist facilities. Surrounded by an infertile landscape, the fine sand and the small pebbles hug its refreshing cold turquoise waters. Swimmers should mind carrying all the necessary with them since the nearest settlements are at a long distance from the beach. The area offers an excellent view on Psara eastwards and on Amanis cove westwards. In order to reach Zanakounda follow the road Volissos- Parparia.
