Chrisi Milia beach
Chrisi Milia is the only sandy beach on the island and the most popular. This beach is divided in two by some rocks - one side is public; the other half belongs to the hotel on the cliff above and it is monitored so one needs to keep to the right side. The public half gets very busy in high season, so if you arrive late you may struggle in the heat to find some free space. The sea is clean and lovely for swimming or paddling. It is ideal for little kids to play and enjoy the sea, as the waters are rather shallow and calm. But, if you want to swim you just have to keep going until its swimming depth, which isn't that far out.
There is a tavern amongst the trees and a beach bar for cold drinks and snacks. Beds and umbrellas are available for hire on the half of the beach near the taverna. There are more on the other half, but they are mostly for hotel patrons. You can visit it by car or bus from Patitiri. Parking is close by and getting from the car park to the beach is very easy. The beach is great for families with young kids, but not quiet and restful, if you are looking for a quiet pristine beach experience. On the other hand, if you are looking for an easily accessible, kids friendly beach with crystal clear waters this is the place to go.
