Koutsouri or Diamandi (Diamond) beach
We think Diamanti beach is one of the best beaches on the island of Skiathos and it is not hard to say why. The location is excellent and the water very clear and welcoming, so yes, we would definitely recommend adding this beach to your list when you next visit Skiathos. Getting to the beach is hard. You either park your car on the road, and then walk down to the beach, or you could reach it by boat or direct water taxi. Walk in is steep and tricky for older or less fit people but the views on the way down are fantastic. The beach is small and gets full quickly, so try to arrive early. There is a small taverna on the beach with a few sun beds and umbrellas to rent. Koutsouri or Diamanti beach is located on the southern part of the Kanapitsa Peninsula, 7.7 km (18 mins) from Skiathos Town. Overall, the whole place is enchanting and this is a perfect beach for a relaxing day in the sun.
Tips: Wear sturdy footwear and not flip flops to get down to the beach as it is rather steep, but once you get there you will be rewarded.
