Limnonari beach
This delightful beach is less visited than other more accessible or popularized beaches and is well worth a visit if you like a quieter beach atmosphere and less commercialized. The beach is pebbles and coarse sand but a bit rocky when walking into the water. The water is crystal clear and almost emerald green. It’s quite a small beach compared with others on the island but that adds to its beauty.
There are a couple of tavernas to choose from that are overlooking the beach area. A lively beach bar with music is also available at one end and plenty of sun beds to hire, too. However, there is plenty of free space to lay down your own towel. The beach gets busy from 11.30 onwards and parking is limited so arrive early. It is easily accessible by car but the road down to the beach is narrow and honestly you will be very glad not to meet anything coming in the opposite direction. You could use public transport but you would still have a bit of a walk - 1 km or maybe slightly more. Overall, a gorgeous bay for swimming and snorkeling with a great variety of fish that can be seen. This beautiful beach is about 15 mins by car from Skopelos Town and well worth a visit. If you want to stay away from tourists, or looking for a quite beach day, Limnonari beach is a good choice.
