Limnonari

Going up a turn over Agnontas and 9.5 km from Skopelos town, you see a sign that informs about another beautiful beach, Limnonari. Tradition says that his name was taken from the god of war by Aris (Lake of Mars), enchanted by his beauty. There is another version of the name of the beach; because it is a closed and very windy bay, the name Limnonari, which means a small lake, describes just the calm and unhurried waters of the beach. Whatever it is, you will surely admire its blue-green waters and fine, white sand. Depending on how it leaves the winter wave and with a higher probability that the beach has a few meters up to the entrance to the stone you should walk carefully or go directly into the water from the shallows but this is not a barrier and you will enjoy definitely the beach. Limnonari is one of the organized beaches of Skopelos, as there are sun loungers and umbrellas, and there are two taverns near the beach as well as parking. Let us also mention that the road leading to Limnonari is narrow and bended, so caution is needed in driving.
