Megalo Neorio beach
Megalo Neorio is a well-organized beach with golden sand and spectacular calm waters, opposite the Peloponnese coast. Surrounded by tall pine trees that almost reach the sea, this beach is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful beaches of Poros. It has an organized watersport center, beach bar and many restaurants nearby. The beach is very close to Poros Town and is very popular among families. Swimming here is great and the place is ideal for relaxation and sunbathing. Here, you can enjoy magical moonlit nights while having a delicious Greek meal with a glass of wine, in one of the restaurants. Megalo Neorio beach lies west of Poros Town and the Canal Bridge, within walking distance from the town (30 mins). If you are not a hiking enthusiast, you can reach the beach by taxi or boat. If you are planning to stay in the area, there are a few small hotels, studios and rooms to let close by.
