Mikro Neorio beach
Mikro Neorio beach is worth a visit as it is in a sheltered bay and the views across Poros and mainland Greece are lovely. It is a wonderful little beach with sunbeds and parasols to rent and a small canteen serving coffees, soft drinks and snacks. The beach is mainly sandy with a little shingle and the water is clear and shallow, so very safe for young children and non-experienced swimmers. It is a nice place to spend the day and relax, in a beautiful environment surrounded by forest of pine trees.
Mikro Neorio beach is located after the small canal bridge, on the west side of the island. Access is very easy, as it is only a 15-minute walk out of Poros Town. There is a regular bus service throughout the day, as well as taxis that can take you there. Alternatively, you can take the Neorio beach boat from the port of Poros and walk a few minutes back around the headland. We would definitely recommend an afternoon here.
