Porto Limnionas beach
Porto Limnionas is half way from the western coast of the island, approximately 7 km from Agios Leon and about 30 kilometers (47-minute drive) from the capital of the island, Zante Town. It is a breathtaking secluded cove surrounded by jagged cliffs. A place of incredible natural and wild beauty with crystal clear, deep, blue waters. The combination of the cliffs and blue sea creates a beautiful landscape. The ideal place for diving and snorkeling as there are many sea caves and the visibility of the water is stunning.
The beach is easily reachable by car. The road to Porto Limniona passes through the mountain village of Agios Leontas. From there following the signs, driving down to the sea the road ends at a plateau, where is the parking lot. In the area there are no tourist facilities, only two terraces with umbrellas and sunbeds. Alternatively, you can relax and enjoy the sun in the flat and smooth rocks. There is no shade and nowhere for you to put an umbrella so be prepared for the blazing sun, which not only beats down on you but is reflected off the encompassing rocks. Porto Limnionas can get insanely busy in the peak season (July and August).
