Dassia beach
A sandy beach with clear and shallow water for a long way out and fabulous views over the mountains across in Albania. The beach is divided into two halves. One half of the beach is golden sand, deep set into the land and beautifully clean. The second half is narrow, pebbly and uncomfortable. However, neither of these detracts from the glorious panoramic view and crystal-clear water. It only takes a few strides before you are into sandy textures caressing the bottom of your feet.
The beach has some fantastic restaurants and bars along its front. This is one of the best features of this beach as there is no road in between them and the shore. Dassia beach has many hotels and is great place to stay. If you're accessing the beach from one of the hotels along the shoreline then you have access to the nice sandy areas with private access to the sun loungers. If not, you are restricted to using public access areas that are more shale and pebbles before you get to the water. A good choice of watersports is also on offer. Overall, Dassia beach is a superb beach to visit when visiting Corfu. Not sign posted but easy to find and very nice and peaceful to swim in. If you don't have private beach access, you’d better take some shade with you. The beach is in close proximity to the cruise ship terminal and there is a bus service from Corfu Town.
