Gialiskari beach
Gialiskari is a gorgeous small horseshoe bay on the west side of Corfu.The beach itself is a small cove with a mix of stones and a small crescent of fine sand. It is a quiet beach, well-protected from strong winds, located on a verdant area covered with pine-trees stretching up to the coast, offering plenty of shade to bathers. The seabed is sandy great for snorkeling while the water is calm, clear and shallow for a long distance. It is very peaceful beach, off the beaten track and a far cry from noisy and crowded beaches.
The sandy part of the beach is organized with parasols and sun loungers, provided by the nearby tavern. At the top of the hill, there is a complex of apartments to rent. Gialiskari is 15 km away from the town of Corfu, close to the bustling beaches of Glyfada and Kontogialos. It's a steep and narrow drive down to the parking area but then only a short walk from there to the beach. Alternatively, you can park at Pelekas beach and walk to the left to reach this lovely bay.
