Rovinia beach
Rovinia is a lovely secluded beach located in an amazing hidden cove with a lot of vegetation in the background. It is peaceful and relaxing and by far one of the best beaches in Corfu. It has sand mixed with pebbles and the water is clear as anything. The cliff overhang offers a shaded area if you want a break from the sun. Do not forget to take your snorkeling stuff and swim around, watching the fish in the crystal-clear water. There is a cave to explore at the end of the beach too. This whole area is beautiful, stunning scenery, coves, rocks, beaches and clear sea. Get up on the top of the cliffs to enjoy stunning views over the coastline.
You can drive down the hill but if your car is not one for climbing up a steep hill, you are better parking it in one of the two car parks on the way down just to be safe. From the car park it's about 300 meters walk down some steps to the beach but really worth it. Although you can get a boat to get there, you can also walk through the olive groves from Liapades. It's quite a hilly walk, but well worth it, with some lovely views back to Liapades along the way. The lovely beach is not overly crowded and doesn’t have any facilities at all. There is a boat kiosk selling snacks and drinks including ice creams, but it is not always there, so may be good to pack some snacks and enjoy this lovely spot if staying for the day.
