Pessada beach
Pessada beach lies in a small cove, on the south coast of Kefalonia, 15 minutes from Argostoli. There are actually two little beaches, Ammos and Vrisi with the first one to impress with its beauty, the turquoise waters and the spectacular scenery that surrounds it. The coast is covered with fine sand and it has a very beautiful seabed, suitable for snorkeling. The water deepens gradually and as always in Greece, is clear and absolutely delightful to swim in.
Although being one of the smaller beaches of Kefalonia, the Pesada beach is considered one of the most picturesque beaches of the island. Due to its small size, it can be quickly full, so it is recommended going earlier than 10 in the morning to have a good spot. The beach is not organized but in the nearby village you can find everything you may need. Above the beach there is a limited parking lot, although you can also park along the road. To descent down to the beach you've got to hike a few steep steps but if you have kids, it may be quite difficult and definitely not accessible for pushchairs. At the bottom of the steps turn right and 5 mins along a rocky path you can find a second cove.
