Vrika beach
Vrika beach is one of the most spectacular beaches of the Ionian Sea. It is located in a small cove, in the north of Antipaxos island and is covered with lovely soft white sand both ashore, as well as in the water. The sand which comes from the limestone soil of the island gives a fantastic color to the emerald waters. The trees that literally reach the sea combined with the aquamarine water, compose an exotic landscape giving you the feeling of being on an exotic beach of a tropical island.
The beach has crystal-clear, turquoise waters resembling to a natural swimming pool. The water slowly deepens into the sea making it safe and perfect for swimmers and non-swimmers alike. On the north side of the beach, there is a small cave that you should not miss to explore. Vrika beach is fully organized with a beach bar, parasols and sun loungers. At the back of the beach there is a couple of tavernas, where you can enjoy delicious Greek food.
You can reach this beach by boat only. It's popular destination for boat trips from Corfu and Parga which stay for a while. You can also visit the beach with a water taxi from Gaios. Although it can get a little crowded on holiday season, it is well worth a visit. Behind the beach starts a path that leads to Voutoumi beach in 25-30 minutes.
