Lefki beach
A great alternative to the well-known Simos beach when Simos is windy and has huge waves. Lefki is then calm and the bay resembles a natural pool. Bear in mind that there are no beach facilities nor sunbed services, so come prepared with your own umbrella, cold water and food. Lefki beach is a lovely beach on the eastern side of Elafonisos Island with white sand and emerald waters. The bottom of the sea is partly rocky partly sandy but rich in sea life, so snorkeling is a must. Although it is much smaller than the neighboring beach of Simos, it is equally as beautiful and gets very busy mainly in high season. Lefki (white) beach derives its name from the white sand covering the beach or the white stones called "lefkades". The beach is on the way to the beaches of Simos and Sarakiniko and is easily accessible by road. Finally, on the neck of Cape Lefki, there are coarse fragments of the Bronze Age.
