Plakotos beach
The beach is located 13km north of Chora and has a long sandy coast and crystal water. You will find no facilities thus it is important to take supplies with you.The seabed has few pebbles so extra attention is required. Frequently the beach is affected by strong summer winds. On the hill above Plakoto, an ancient tomb has been found, which is believed to be the tomb of Homer.
