This is a shingle beach with very few people which makes it very peaceful. The sea has beautiful emerald clear water but drops rather suddenly. Located in the south part of the island right next to a former quarry, this quiet beach has only a few trees for shade, so you’d better be equipped with an umbrella to protect yourselves from the hot summer sun. The large coast is divided into three smaller beaches by some large rocks that reach the sea. Here there aren’t any facilities available so bring water and something to eat. Petrokopio beach is only accessible on foot or by boat from the port of the island. Despite the difficult access, it is worth a visit as it is one of the loveliest beaches on the island.
