11th Molyvos International Music Festival
The Molyvos International Music Festival is held ever since August 2015 in Molyvos, Lesvos. It is considered one of the most important festivals of classical music in Greece, attracting leading young and renowned performers from around the world. It aims at regional development and the redefinition of tourism in Lesvos. At the same time, several educational programs are carried out in schools, to familiarize young people with classical music.
This year the festival focuses on the importance of the harmonious coexistence of man and nature. In a world where most of the people focus on how to reach the highest possible individual success at any cost, they often forget to remember how dependent they are on the planet that they live on, yet tend to exploit. This loss puts human existence at risk. Through this year's program of events, the organizers attempt to raise people's awareness of the necessity of harmonious coexistence, as a priority for a better future.
