Panagia of the Castle Astypalaia
Panagia of the Castle, located in the Querini Castle, is built in the middle of the 18th century and has a basilica with a dome. It has a wood-carved altarpiece clothed with gold leaf. On the floor there is a sculpture depicting a two-headed eagle. Next to the church there is a small collection of old icons. Panagia of the Castle is white with a blue dome, creating a contrast between the castles.
