The Thassos Tradition Festival was inaugurated in the summer of 2017 through the initiative of the Center for Folklore Research (Kentro Laografikis Erevnas - K.L.E.). Established in 1995, K.L.E. is a cultural institution dedicated to promoting Greek folklore and traditions both within Greece and internationally. The festival enjoys the support of local organizations, particularly the Cultural Association of Limenaria "To Kastro."
The festival's primary objective is to unite cultural associations from different regions of Greece, providing a platform for participants to engage in traditional dances, exchange ideas, and foster mutual understanding. This event also offers attendees the opportunity to experience the island of Thassos through the perspective of those who know it best.
