Sepetos
The imposing Sepetos waterfall is located at the entrance of Monastiraki village from Vonitsa and is formed when the waters of the river Kefalovrysos meet a steep cliff.
Visitors will be mesmerized as the water jets forcefully flow from the boulders to the top and fall on the rocks of the base, creating a lake and an excellent natural landscape. This is a landscape of rare natural beauty unique to the area. The waterfall is over 80 meters high. Sepetοs is also called "Candle". It was named after the in-line drop of water, but also because it is narrow at the top and expands as it falls, resembling a giant white candle when viewed from a distance. Separate is the continuation of the Kefalovrysos River, which flows from Monastiraki below the central square.
Since there is no road leading to it, access is difficult and only possible through trails. These routes have been recently cleared by a group of local young people who care about their land.
Near the waterfall, you will find a very beautiful cave, Neraidospilia (Neraida Cave).
