Sun, Sea, and Serenity on Messinia’s Friendly Coast
A very nice beach about 1km long with plenty of restaurants along the seafront. It is a sandy beach, shallow, easy to walk in for swimming and very safe. There are small clusters of beach beds with parasols which are served by the beach bars behind. If you get something to eat or drink the use of the sunbeds is usually free. Finikounda beach is such a wonderful and peaceful place for a relaxing day on the beach. Also good for families, people cannot walk far or those who want to be near eateries. Finikounda itself, is a beautiful little town in the southern part of the Peloponnese. Reaching it, is very easy and there are lots of free parking areas. The area has many small hotels and some shops. Combine Finikounda with the castle towns of Methoni, Koroni and Pylos as well as the ancient Messene and Nestor’s Palace.
