Find Serenity by the Sea in Southern Messinia
A slice of Old Greece as it was back in the 80's and 90's, just a short car trip or longish walk from Stoupa. A hidden gem with crystal-clear waters, on a pebbly cove, surrounded by steep cliffs covered with olive trees, pine trees and cypresses. The beach gets busy in summer but it is definitely less crowded than neighboring Stoupa. There are not many facilities here, but there is a terrific little cantina set just above the beach, serving drinks and brilliant Greek food. The cove is well-protected by the winds and the water is almost always calm. Delfinia beach is a peaceful paradise for those seeking tranquility and relaxation. A great place for swimming and snorkeling, but also for exploring the cave of Polyoras, which hides a smaller sandy beach inside. The cave is situated in the northern part of Delfinia and is only accessible by swimming. Delfinia beach is one of the most famous beaches of Western Mani. It is located just a few kilometers after Kardamyli on the way to Stoupa. You can drive to a certain point through a dirt road, park the car and continue on foot for almost 300 meters to reach the beach. Above the beach, there is an organized camping.
