Church of Prophet Elias of Aegina
The small but famous church of Prophet Elias is located at a unique spot of the island, perhaps the most privileged, since it is built on the remnants of the temple of Zeus, the oldest temple in Europe, on the highest point of the island on Mount Ellanio. It is accessible through Anitseo, while from a certain point onwards, one can only go on foot. Nevertheless, it is worth the trouble since the view and the feeling of hitory coming alive is unique.
