Anilio Ski Resort
Anilio Ski Resort is on Mount Peristeri, at an altitude of 1680 m – 1850 m. It has been operating since 2012 and is the country’s newest ski resort, featuring 10 ski slopes served by 5 lifts. The ski resort offers 6 km of marked trails with 17% (1 km) of the total trails ideal for beginners and 83% (5 km) of the total trails being suitable for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. Next to the slopes, there is a stone-built chalet with beautiful views across the trails where in a warm and welcoming environment, guest can enjoy hot drinks and traditional Greek food. There are also shops to buy or rent equipment, a ski learning school and a parking lot. The view from its highest point of “Gkiouzel Tepe” at an altitude of 1900 m. is absolutely breathtaking and offers amazing views across the mountain ranges of Epirus, Thessaly and Macedonia. The ski resort is a very popular destination for visitors all year round, as it is suitable for various activities and mountain tours. The Anilio Ski resort is 50 km from Ioannina and 215 km from Thessaloniki. Access is very easy and safe via the Egnatia Motorway. Even days with heavy snowfall, snowploughs keep the road clean 24 hours a day.
