3-5 Pigadia Ski Resort
The ski center 3-5 Pigadia is situated on the west side of Mount Vermio, at an altitude of 1,430-2,005m. It has 10 slopes of all degrees of difficulty and 7 lifts including 2 baby lifts. In total 3-5 Pigadia ski resort offers 9 km of marked trails with 44% (4 km) of the total trails ideal for beginners, 33% (3 km) of the total trails being suitable for intermediate skiers and 23% (2 km) for the more advanced and expert of level skiers and snowboarders. The 3-5 Pigadia ski resort is one of 2 ski resorts on offer in Imathia; the other one is Seli Ski Resort.
The 3-5 Pigadia is the only ski center in the entire country with installation for artificial snow, ensuring excellent snow quality for longer period. The premises include a hotel, medical clinic, shops to buy or rent ski equipment, ski learning school with instructors to teach you the basic rules of the sport and a chalet at the top of the mountain with a restaurant and a nice café. On the premises you can find rooms to stay the night. More hotels and rooms to hire can be found in the nearby village of Metamorphosi (6 km) and at Agios Pavlos (4 km). Α cap park is available and for both cars and caravans.
Due to its excellent climate and the exceptional natural beauty, it has been established as a training center for athletic teams since the ‘80’s. Its facilities include football grounds, gym, an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and other auxiliary facilities. The ski resort 3-5 Pigadia is situated 108 km from Thessaloniki and 17 km from Naousa and you can reach it by car or public bus. The nearest airport is at Thessaloniki and the nearest railway station at Naousa.
