Marpissa – Avkoulaki
A short hike along a smooth dirt road, which starts at Marpissa and heads southwest. Look for the stadium in the village. Follow the asphalt road for about 1 kilometer. Turn right onto the dirt road leading to Agios Georgios in Avkoulaki.
Walk slightly uphill though the fields and past some farmhouses. After a few hundred meters, at the small village of Tourlo, the trail heads into the mountains.
The path is steep and rocky, passing though low vegetation. Arriving at Agios Georgios is rewarding, and you can rest in the courtyard of the pretty monastery, and visit the well and river under it in Avkoulaki.
