Alonissos Chora – Patitiri (Port)

One of the most popular hiking trails on Alonnisos offers a beautiful journey along a well-preserved path connecting the island’s Chora (main village) with the port. This easy, family-friendly trail spans 2.07 kilometers and can be completed in approximately 1 hour and 5 minutes. With a modest elevation gain of about 159 meters, the route is perfect for hikers of all levels, including children and beginners.

The trail begins at the village square and gently descends towards the port. The pathway is paved with cobblestones, and occasional signage helps guide you along the way. As you hike, you’ll come across a water reservoir that feeds a nearby fountain further down the trail, adding a charming touch to the natural landscape.

While you can also start the hike from the port, the uphill route is more strenuous and requires better physical fitness. For those looking for a leisurely and scenic hike, the descent from Chora is the ideal choice.
