Pelekas is a mountain village at an altitude of 272m and 13km away from the city of Corfu. It is a traditional, green village that is famous for its majestic sunset.
 
At the top of the village is the famous Kaisers' observatory. Below the observatory is the village, with a small square and many cafes and taverns that welcome the visitors who come to watch the spectacular sunset. Every year on August 22 and 23, is held the feast of Panagia Odigitria, gathering crowds from all over the island.
 
Pelekas is connected to the city of Corfu by buses that make daily and frequent routes. There are many rooms and apartments for rent and walking down the hill of Pelekas you will reach Kontogyalos, one of the best sandy beaches of the island.
