Spartochori
Perched on a hillside with stunning views of the archipelago and the picturesque port of the island, the traditional village of Spartochori has a maze of stone houses and narrow cobbled lanes. Right on the edge of the village, there is a large square with great view, surely one of the finest in the Ionian. Spartochori is ideal for hiking. If you are feeling active you can hike up to the village from the port of Spilia. The path is through a lush green pine forest and the walk takes 10 to 15 minutes. Spartochori is situated roughly 4 km from Katomeri, the other large village of the island and offers a couple of cafes and taverns where you can taste the local cuisine and fresh fish.
