Katomeri
Katomeri is one of the three villages in Meganisi. Located on a hilltop, Katomeri offers panoramic views of the bay, the nearby island of Kalamos and the mountains of mainland Greece beyond. Katomeri is the capital of the island and its administrative center. A picturesque little village with traditional stone houses, decorated with colorful flowers and some narrow alleys. The village has retained its authentic character, untouched by tourism and with no significant tourist facilities, apart a few traditional taverns. The surrounding area is covered by olive groves and most of the inhabitants are engaged in agriculture. Katomeri lies about 1 km from Vathi and walking from Katomeri to Vathi is a nice evening stroll.
