Vromolimnos beach
An amazing sandy beach frequented by young crowds and families. Music from the bar and young people playing volleyball nearby create a lively atmosphere, so perfect for beach lovers who do not want to be rustic. The sand is fine and water clear, as everywhere in Skiathos. There is an opportunity to have lunch and rent boats for the day if required. The beach is fantastic for swimming and snorkeling with lots of space and slopes gently into the clear sea. Superb place to watch the sun go down while having an evening meal and a drink at the taverna at the back of the beach. There is a toilet available, loungers with shade on the beach to rent and water sports are good value. Vromolimnos is a beautiful beach but does get very crowded with the younger generation. It is located 8 kilometers from Skiathos Town and is accessible by a road from bus stop 14, or by a path from the top of the headland. At the back of the beach there is a small marsh that is dry in the summer, but full of aquatic life in the winter. Some people find Vromolimnos beach over commercialized and spoilt, which may be during summer, so try to go there late September or early May, if you are looking for peace and better prices.
