Anavyssos beach
Anavissos beach is 52 km away from the center of Athens. Extended along a natural bay for over than one kilometer, Anavissos beach is one of the largest beaches in the entire county of Attica. It is a sandy beach with crystal-clear and shallow water for a long way out, perfect for families with children and non-experienced swimmers. The bay is protected from most winds and the sea is usually calm, but when it is quite windy, the bay is filled with windsurf lovers who come here to practice their skills.
The beach is well-organized with parasols and sunbeds provided by the bars and has all the facilities you may need. There are toilets, changing cabins, showers, water sports and beach bars to buy drinks and snacks. Cafes, restaurants and taverns are all within walking distance. It is very easy to reach the beach via the Athens-Sounio Avenue and there is free parking space along the coast. The beach gets very busy during summer, especially on weekends.
