Kala Nera beach
Although it may not be among the top-rated beaches in Pelion, it is still a lovely beach with fantastic water and it offers everything you want. Kala Nera (=Good Waters) is a long beach in front of a beautiful fishing village, on the peninsula of Pelion. The beach is mainly thick sand with pebbles and has lots of tall trees for shade. The silver poplars, sycamores and eucalyptus trees at the beach are a little oasis during the hot summer afternoons. The greenery in the area and the emerald waters of the sea, create a blissful setting of summer serenity. There is a long promenade with plenty of beach bars, taverns with terraces bars and shops. The beach is well organized with loungers, umbrellas, changing cabins and a ramp for people with mobility issues. At the southern end of the beach, the Belegrino stream flows, which is the natural boundary between Kala Nera and the village of Koropi.
