Ammoglossa in Keramoti
Ammoglossa beach in Keramoti is located near the port of Keramoti and stands out for its impressive shape that resembles to a tongue. It is a strip of land that penetrates the sea and consists mainly of sandy beaches and pines. The golden sand and the crystal clear waters make it look like a tropical beach.
The beach is 5 km long and is the largest sand tongue in Greece. A small part of the beach is organized with sunbeds and umbrellas while most of it is free. The sandy beach attracts many visitors during the summer thanks to its relatively shallow and calm waters, making it an ideal place for families.
In the pine forest behind the beach, many migratory birds find refuge, such as the white egret and is an ideal place for a picnic. Opposite Ammoglossa beach there are the islets of Thassopoula and Thassos.
