Small Museum of Modern Pottery
The museum is housed in the picturesque monastery of Fyrogion in the homonymous area just south of Katavatis, near Exambella and Apollonia. Being one of the first and most important centers for the development and spread of pottery art in the Cyclades, Sifnos is still famous for its unique ceramics. After the restoration of the Monastery of Fyrogion, in the early 70's, every year he hosts ceramic exhibits in his cells. The small museum of Modern Pottery began its operation in 2011. Since then, every summer, it hosts two of the oldest ceramic exhibits in Sifnos. The collection of handmade ceramics by Kosmas Xenakis and the Sifnos Pottery Association.
