Folklore Museum of Antimachia
The Folklore Museum of Antimachia is located in the central square of the village, close to the traditional windmill. It is replica of a traditional early 20th-century dwelling, which includes various tools, traditional furniture, utensils, costumes and other objects of the everyday life of the locals. There is also a room with the looms and another for baking the bread. Right next to the main building is a henhouse and the stable for animals. The Museum aim is to give a great cultural insight into the people of Kos and how they worked and lived in the past century. The museum is housed in an old stone house, built in the first half of the 20th century. Definitely worth a visit if in or around Antimachia.
