Rhodes Toy Museum
This museum offers a very enjoyable trip back in time to see many of the toys that were originally made in Greece from 1930 until about 1990. The owner has amassed an impressive toy collection across many genres, that is worth stopping to see. The museum is fun for everyone and will bring back many childhood memories. And for the young children it is nice to see what their parents and grandparents played with. The toys are housed in hand made cases in an ever-expanding display. There are plenty of toys for the kids to play with, and a basement with some old arcade games and pinball machines which they have been fixed and you can play on. Besides the exhibition, there is an area where kids can play, find interactive toys or make handicrafts. Outdoors, there is a playground for kids and a terrace where visitors can enjoy stunning views. This beautifully constructed building is nestling in glorious countryside near the village of Archipolis. It is open daily from 10:00am to 16:00pm, except Mondays, from April to October and every Sunday all the other months of the year. Entry fee is €4 and free for children under 12 years old. This is a must visit museum for families on holiday on Rhodes.
