Bee Museum Rhodes

A unique museum on the island of Rhodes where visitors can explore the lifecycle of bees and the production process. It reveals the history of beekeeping in the Dodecanese and follows the journey of honey, wax, propolis and royal jelly. The displays are interactive, educational and very relevant. At the bee’s garden you can see all the Rhodian herbs and flowers the bees visit and at the museum’s shop you can taste different types of Greek honey and other local delicacies. Even though the place is not too big, it is very informative and interesting from start to finish.

The Bee Museum was founded in 2004 by the Melisokomiki Dodekanisou and is open from Monday to Saturday from 08:00 – 17:00. It is situated near the village of Pastida, between Rhodes Airport and Faliraki and the best way to get there is by car. The museum is suitable for children and there are several interactive games to keep them entertained and educated. It also has a store with all kinds of honey-based products that you can buy, all reasonably priced from yummy treats to beauty products. We highly recommend this place to visit while in Rhodes.
