Musical Instruments Museum of Skiathos
It is housed in the Monastery of Evangelistria and is considered unique in its kind in the Greek territory. It hosts 500 exhibits from the collection (1600 pieces) by Anna Deligianni, which has been collecting musical instruments from various parts of the world since the 1970s. These are traditional instruments - strings, percussion, wind instruments, made of various materials and with unknown common names. Some organs from Africa, made from corn leaves or from Humanitarian Aid boxes, are distinguished for their simplicity and originality. Among other things, exhibits in the Museum's showcases are Indian sitar, markers, martial trumpets, traditional santuri, dizergetis, dromes, plugs from reeds etc.
