Faragas beach
This is one of the best organized beaches on Paros. The beach and sea at Faragas are lovely which is why it is so popular. Faragas beach is located in a small cove with golden sand, and shallow, calm waters. Water is beautiful and blue with sandy bottom where you can walk out quite far before the water gets deep. This makes it good for families with small kids. The beach is also quite sheltered from the wind. Faragas beach actually consists of three beaches that lie in a large bay. The main beach is the longest and is well-organized. The second beach is less crowded and the third is the most secluded. Choose those two coves if you want to go for snorkeling as there is plenty of fish around. The rock formations between the three coves are lovely and add to the scenery.
Although, the main area has umbrellas and sun beds, there is still plenty of room for everyone. You could choose to bring your own umbrella and set it up on the beach, or you could choose to sit under the shade of the tamarisk trees. The golden sand and the crystal-clear waters have turned Faragas beach into a very popular destination, especially for those who want comfort and high-quality services. There is a great little bar with toilets and changing rooms as well as a restaurant if you want to dine.
Faragas beach does get very crowded so get there before noon to secure a good spot. This beach is located on the south coast of Paros, 15 km from the capital of the island Parikia, and 25 km from Naoussa village. Despite its secluded location, it is easily accessible through the main road. If you do not have your own mean of transport, you can get to Faragas by bus from Parikia or Naoussa. Overall, this is a great beach to spend the day and enjoy the sun, sea and music. If you happen to be on the island of Paros, you should include this one on your list.
