White beach
A breathtaking rather small beach, carved into the side of the mountain with beautiful views and clear water, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. It is called White Beach due to the large concentration of white limestone cliffs behind it, creating one more scenic and surreal scene in Santorini. This beach is not white sand, it is only cliffs that is white. Like most of the other beaches on Santorini, the White Beach is not very comfortable as far as walking barefoot or laying on the ground. The rock formations, however, are gorgeous and the stark white against the sparkling blue sea is stunning, even if you're not a fan of rocky beaches. There is no natural shade on the beach but you can find some sunbeds and sunshades. Along the coastline that stretches from the White to the Red Beach there are several sea caves to be explored as well as some strange rock formations to see.
The beach is located in the southeastern part of Santorini, 14 km south of Fira and very close to the famous and spectacular Red Beach. The only way to get to it is by boat from Akrotiri or as part of an island cruise. Although it is very difficult to reach, it is totally worth it. The beach is small and isolated so if you're looking to get away from the crowds, this would be a good place to come.
