Glyfo beach
This is a shallow golden sandy beach, sheltered from the strong winds of the Aegean. It is small so it gets busy quickly but there are 2 other beaches nearby so you can change the scenery. The beach has clear blue water and you can wade quite a bit out in shallow water. It also has sandy bottom and trees right on the beach for shade. It feels tranquil and quiet, but not entirely secluded, as the tavernas and cafés from Faros are a few steps away.
The beach has a very pretty view on the bay opposite. From the end of the beach, you can pick up the foot path around the headland to the monastery of Chrysopigi and to Apokofto beach. The views are amazing. The beach is not organized with sunbeds but if you are there early you will be able to find a tree to hang clothing on and to provide some shade. Glyfo is a lovely beach for everyone but families will love it.
