Christou Pigadi beach
Christou Pigadi beach is located in the southeastern part of Karpathos, in the Afiartis area, on the way to Karpathos airport. It is a shingle beach with crystal clear and clean water which is cool due to a natural spring that flows into the sea. On the beach there are some tamarisk trees that offer natural shade, but also umbrellas with sunbeds for those looking for more comfort. Next to the beach there is a beach bar and a tavern with traditional food.
Christou Pigadi beach offers a tranquil setting, perfect for those looking for moments of relaxation away from noisy and cosmopolitan beaches. Reaching the beach is easy as is parking. If you decide to visit the beach during the peak season, we would recommend arriving early to secure a spot under the tamarisk trees or find a sunbed. The beach is 10.5 kilometers (17 minutes) from Pigadia, the island’s main port, and 13.5 kilometers (19 minutes) from Arkasa. This is undoubtedly one of the island's most popular beaches, and a place it should be in every traveler’s bucket list visiting Karpathos Island.
